Got a Seat?

Rides home for break

Someone from your school is going your way.

Carpools with classmates, school shuttles, and shared trips to the train station or airport, all in one place and matched for the busiest days of every break.

Only students verified with your school’s email. No school IT integration needed.

Example board. Riders see regions, not addresses, until both sides confirm a match.

The week before every break

Getting home shouldn’t take a group-chat search party.

Rides are out there. They’re just scattered across posts, chats and spreadsheets, and they all fill up on the same two days.

  • ✕

How it works

From “anyone going to Philly?” to a confirmed seat.

  1. Verify with your school email

Sign in with a link sent to your .edu address. Everyone you see is a student at your school.

  2. Post where you’re headed

Offer seats in your car or ask for a ride. Pick your region and the day you want to leave.

  3. Match, confirm, go

Got a Seat? lines up drivers and riders going the same way. Names and contact details unlock only after you both confirm.

Every way home, one board

Carpools, shuttles and shared trips, side by side.

Carpools with classmates

Drivers post open seats and an optional gas-and-toll share. Riders pay drivers directly. Drivers build a star rating as they go.

School shuttles

Reserve a seat on the buses your school runs to stations and airports, with a waitlist when they fill.

Shared legs to hubs

Split the trip to the train station or airport with others catching a train or flight around the same time.

Safety and privacy

Built for riding with people you’ll see in class on Monday.

Every account is tied to a school email, nothing personal is shown until both people say yes, and trip data doesn’t outlive the break.

  • Students onlySign-in requires your school email, so every rider and driver is verified.
  • Regions, not addressesOthers see “Philadelphia area,” never your street, until you both confirm.
  • Message in the appCoordinate pickup without handing out your number.
  • Block and reportReports go to a staff review queue. Blocked students never see you again.
  • Driver ratingsRiders rate drivers after each trip, so good drivers stand out.
  • Deleted after each breakTrip data is purged once the break is over. Each school’s data is kept separate.

One service, three wins

Students get home. Staff get answers. IT gets nothing to run.

For students

  • Every way home on one board, not five group chats.
  • Ride from the web or the iPhone app.
  • Private until you both confirm.

For campus staff

  • See demand by region and day before booking buses.
  • Run shuttle sign-ups with waitlists.
  • Review safety reports from one queue.

For campus IT

  • Nothing to install: your own instance at school.gotaseat.com.
  • No SSO or system integration. Students verify by school email.
  • Each school’s data separate; trip data deleted after each break.
